An exciting new adventure awaits, and we have the Shipwrecked team here to tell us all about it...

Let's jump headfirst into the dangerous unknown! What can you tell us about Shipwrecked?

Rachel: Welcome to Moku Island! Here, you’ll step into the shoes of an ecologist as you experience the expedition of a lifetime. We’ve got everything you could ever want: Fantastic tropical views, the bluest water you could imagine… and did I mention the eye-catching captain?

Meagan: You'll be playing as an intrepid scientist who is willing to go to great lengths to make new discoveries. Expect beautiful, tropical vistas and plenty of fascinating flora and fauna. You'll brave dangerous seas and lush jungles to learn the truth about Moku Island... as long as you're not too distracted by your companion.

Since it sounds like we'll be spending a lot of quality time together, mind hinting at what we can expect from Shipwreck's main love interest?

Meagan: Your captain is your polar opposite, so you can challenge each other throughout your time on Moku Island. But you know what they say, opposites attract! The question is whether or not your bond will be strong enough to keep you together--and alive--through the difficulties you'll face.

Rachel: The one thing about being stranded on a deserted island is that it leaves much to be desired in terms of company. So yes, expect a lot of time with your captain. Though… you could do a lot worse. Manu starts off as infuriating, stubborn, and rough around the edges, but as your relationship develops, things change and you'll see they're more than meets the eye.

I can't wait to meet them! Besides our sexy captain, what else are you excited to share with everyone?

Rachel: I love our music. We’ve got everything from an epic danger track, to my personal favorite, a jamming beach tune. No joke, I have listened to it on repeat as I write. I immediately feel like I’m on the beach somewhere.

We also have this really cool Survival Bond system. Your choices determine how strong your bond is with the only other person on the island. And if your bond is strong enough, maybe you’ll be able to escape Moku Island… Maybe.

Georgio: I really enjoy how sensory this book is! Between its fancy visual effects and the sounds of paradise, I hope our players feel like they’re on the island too!

Meagan: The beauty of the island has to be at the top of the list. Our art team has really outdone themselves in creating gorgeous backgrounds to set the stage for the action and romance of Shipwrecked. But, a warning, things are never as they seem on Moku Island!

Surviving on a deserted island sounds as just challenging as telling a story about it. Are there any parts of creating Shipwrecked that stand out to you? 

Rachel: You wouldn’t believe the amount of research I put into this book. I’ve gone down some odd internet rabbit holes. For example, “How do you husk a coconut?” led me to learning you can make candles from coconuts. If I ever get stranded on an island, I got this.

Georgio: The action scenes throughout really glow because of the amazing music in this book!

Meagan: Finding the right balance to strike with the captain's backstory was a challenge, but one I think will be rewarded when players learn what makes them tick.

One more question, just for fun! If you could choose any Choices character to be stranded on an island with, who would it be and why?

Rachel: Ooh, good question. Can I take Dom from The Crown & The Flame? He’s a hunter, so he’d have good survival instincts… but also he can turn into a dragon and fly us out of there.

Meagan: Hmmm... I don't think I could come up with a better answer than Rachel's, so I'll just add a plus one to that option!

Georgio: Jackie Varma from Open Heart. She seems like she watches lots of Survivor.
