We're here with the Filthy Rich Book Team to give y'all a sneak peek of the next Choices Book entering our library tomorrow! Let's get started:

What would you do if you were Filthy Rich?

Rachel: Do you want my real answer or fun answer? Because the real answer is hire a financial advisor to–

Coral: I think they're looking for fun answers, Rachel.

Rachel: Then I'd have at least one island. Maybe two. After consulting my financial advisor, of course.

Jo: I'd really like to travel–somewhere new every weekend! Maybe to Rachel's one or two islands.

Jordan: I'd develop a way to transform books into virtual reality experiences, so that when you read about Narnia or Middle Earth, you can actually step through the wardrobe or hobbit hole... Who knows what possibilities open up! 

Coral: Dang. Jordan's out here with world-changing ideas, and I can't think of anything.

Jo: Well, what are some of your hobbies, Coral?

Coral: ...I've gotten really into plants lately? Maybe I'd buy some rare species to hang in my south-facing window. 

Jordan: Buy an island! Tons of plants there. 

Jo: The whole island could be your greenhouse!

Rachel: We could be neighbors! 

Coral: I'll have to keep my current indoor jungle alive before I invest in an entire ecosystem... but I'll keep you posted.

So I am guessing we will be Filthy Rich in this book?

Coral: Not quite...

Rachel: I wish!

Coral: More like you're on your way to becoming filthy rich... if the stars align! But part of this story's draw is getting to learn how the rich and famous live behind the scenes.

Rachel: You gotta get a taste of being filthy rich before you can BE filthy rich. It's a prerequisite!

Coral: Luckily, your childhood crush has already paved the way and has all the hot tips to help you succeed.

Jordan: Or you could always just produce your own reality show?

Coral: Why not both? Two for one, the fast-track to success!

Do you have a favorite chapter in this story?

Jordan: The best scene is when Bianchi sisters get a little wild and [REDACTED] at the end of Ch 5. Doing the art for that was fun.

Rachel: The art for burnt [REDACTED] is amazing!

Jordan: Thank you, thank you. Other favorite moments... Does Ashton ever get slapped?

Rachel: No... but he does get pushed into the pool! 

Jo: That background of Ashton in the pool? *chef's kiss*

Coral: Agreed! But the back half of the book has some killer moments too. The Vegas chapters were thrilling for me to write–and it's not why you're thinking. It involves a dimly lit cigar lounge and all the high-stakes drama you could need.

Looking back at the creation of it all, were there any memorable moments?

Coral: We went into this project trying to figure out how to make our Rich Choices LI feel more accessible and different from their predecessors. 

Rachel: Answering that question of, what if you knew this person before all the fame and glamor?

Coral: I really wanted to build a history with our LI before the game ever even starts. And the angst! Worth it.

Rachel: It's so cool to see how your childhood crush helps you navigate how to make the same transition he once did. His tips and tricks really help you reconnect... and immerse yourself in the billionaire lifestyle.

Coral: It also helps give our MC a sense of her own power, which is part of the fantasy of playing in the big leagues, right? 

Rachel: The reality show MC produces was a really good way to thread that in too. You're literally controlling the narrative with LI by your side.

Coral: A really fun, unexpected B-plot I didn't think was going to get as big as it did.

Rachel: Like America's Most Eligible meets...

Jo: Every dating show you've ever seen?

Jordan: With a dash of family drama thrown in the mix.

Coral: What can I say? The Bianchi sisters wanted their fifteen minutes of fame, and I wasn't about to stand in their way.

Rachel: We know what happens to someone who does...

Coral: Shh! Don't spoil it!

Haha, we can't wait to experience it all for ourselves!
