The Q&A is here! We are delighted to have The Nanny Affair Book Lead, Megan, on board for a behind the scenes look. There were tons of fun questions to choose from! Here are the top ten most frequently asked questions:

Q1: When can we potentially expect book 2 to start being released?

Megan: We can't reveal too much about the calendar this far in advance, but we can tell you that the team is hard at work on Book 2 as we speak!

Q2: Can we get a taste of book 2?

Megan: There's a lot to look forward to in Book 2! More time with Sam, of course, and the boys. Some fan-favorite characters will also have a bigger role in the sequel. Plus, you'll have the chance to meet new characters, face new challenges, and explore some new positions (professional and... otherwise).

Q3: Were you surprised by how the fandom fell in love with Robin?

Megan: Yes and no. I personally love Robin--they're one of my favorite characters--so I get the hype. But I definitely didn't expect some of our fans to love them so much! It's always great to see such passionate reactions from our players.

Q4: Why was the breakup at the altar, seen by the child's perspective, and not Sam's?

Megan: The last couple chapters of the book were pretty intense emotionally for the main character, so we wanted to contrast that with something more lighthearted. Also, we thought it would be fun (for us and the players).

Q5: Can we learn more about the main characters' family and her background?

Megan: You'll get to learn a little more about the main character in Book 2, but we also want to keep some of her story open-ended so players can create their own backstories.

Q6: Will we get to learn more about the twins’ mother?

Megan: Yes, definitely! We know a lot happened, but the first book only took place over a few months. Now that the main character has gotten to know the twins and Sam better, they'll start to open up to her more (including things that can be painful to talk about).

Q7: What were some changes you made to TNA from the original idea of this book?

Megan: Originally, Robin was basically just Alfred from Batman. We had a brainstorm where we wanted to give the main character a chance to make Sam jealous, but we didn't know who would help her... Then we asked the age-old question, "What if we just make Alfred hot?"

We also changed lots of names throughout the brainstorming and outlining process. Sofia was originally a "Lizzie" and Jenny was originally "Judy".

Q8: What scene with the twins is your favorite?

Megan: I really love the scene when you first meet them, and the food truck scene, and the Coney Island scene, and the wedding scene from Mickey's POV, and... I can't pick just one!

Q9: Why doesn't Sam like the subway?

Megan: The answer may or may not be revealed soon...

Q10: Is there any other fun behind the scenes info that you'd like to share with the fans?

Megan: Fun fact, I ended up doing some brainstorming for Book 1 while I had jury duty. I didn't actually get picked for a trial, but I did a lot of thinking about Sam while waiting in the courthouse, which was... interesting.

Book 2 brainstorming has been very strange, because we've had to do it remotely from home. Luckily, the team is up to the challenge, and I think the fans are gonna love what we have planned so far!

Megan: Thank you so much for playing! We cannot express how grateful we are for all of you. The fans are the ones who keep us going when things get tough - when a scene isn't quite working or we hit writer's block or a deadline is looming and you just can't think of another way to describe a kiss. There wouldn't be a Book 2 if it weren't for you.
